This wine is deep ruby coloured. On nose it gives medium intensity aromas of black plum, black cherry, smoke, dried herbs and violet. It is dry with medium acidity, a touch of sharp acidity is detected too. Medium alcohol and full bodied. On palate, it has quite high intensity flavours of black cherry, olive, dried herbs, smoke and touch of vanilla and black plum. Fairly long length with plummy finish. (93)

聞的時候覺得不會很好,但酒的複雜性在口中才展現出來。香氣雖算有一定複雜性但不算濃烈,酒味在口中強多了。餘韻亦誘人,好飲。

Quite deep ruby coloured with medium nose of red plum, red berry, cabbage, rose and earth. It is dry with medium acidity and alcohol, medium soft tannin with slightly fuller than medium bodied. The flavour intensity is quite high. Red cherry, rose and touch of earth and cabbage. Medium length with red plum finish. (91)

簡單了點,否則這枝酒會很不錯。酒香及酒味兒不太濃,但花果味保持得好好,口感亦算順滑,只是複雜性不足,餘韻亦短了點。

1999 Corton Renardes, Domaine Lahaye Pere & Fils

This dry wine has barely medium intensity ruby colour with medium noses of cabbage, earth, red plum, red berry and touch of farmyard. Medium alcohol, acidity and bodied with soft and ripe medium tannin. On palate, it has slightly over medium intensity flavours of red cherry, cabbage, ripe strawberry and touch of vegetal spice. Medium subtle length with red cherry finish. (90) Palate better than nose.

99年的酒很古怪。口感頗順滑的,果味也不錯,但酒力硬是感覺有點不足。這枝就是一個例子了。酒整體也算合格,但不算很出色,餘韻亦顯示酒的質素比中等好一點,值得驚喜的是這酒在口中的表現比酒香好,是少數飲好過聞的酒。

Quite deep ruby in colour with medium acidity and fuller than medium bodied, this dry red wine has medium noses of redberry, red plum, cabbage, smoke and rose paddle. Medium alcohol and smooth tannin with medium intensity flavours of red wild berry, red cherry, cabbage, vegetal and touch of rose. Medium length. (89)

可口的一款酒。基本上是中規中矩的。但口感順滑,酒的整體表現雖不突出,但平衡很不錯,進餐飲用會好好,輕鬆地暢飲也不錯。但要好有特色或對酒會的複雜性有追求的話兒就差點子了。

This dry red wine still has medium purple colour. On nose it has barely medium aromas of leather, tea, dried herb and touch of red berry and mint. It has less than medium acidity and barely medium bodied. Medium alcohol with barely medium fine grain tannin. Flavours is at barely medium level. Red cherry, tea and leather with shorter than medium length of herb. (83)

酒已走了一段下坡時間,仲有貨的話應快快飲,趁仲有點果味。各方面已經開始轉弱,有點水的感覺。有貨的快飲,冇貨的別買(除非有紀念價值)。

Deep ruby colour and quite high noses of black cherry, leather, earth, smoke, black plum and violet, straight and strong. It has medium acidity and alcohol. Fuller than medium bodied with medium fine grain tannin. On palate, it gives medium flavours of black cherry, tea, licorice, earth and touch of leather and smoke. Just over medium length with black cherry finish. (91) Consistent palate.

頗一致的。酒香複雜性不錯,但酒味的複雜性更好。可是酒味力度差了點,餘韻也不錯,幾好飲的。個人覺得酒味的變化不夠,但喜歡口感一致的人會更喜歡這酒的。

1969 Linkwood Single Malt Whisky

A vintage single malt whisky with medium mahogany colour and pronounced aromas of malt, prune, honey, orange marmalade and touch of caramel and raisin. Water enhances its floral note and develops pineapple aromas. It is dry with medium acidity. Well integrated alcohol with touch of tannin. Medium bodied. The flavour intensity is higher than medium level with flavours of citrus, orange peel, vanilla and touch of caramel. Long length with honey, grainy and citrus finish. (94) Lack of mid palate

酒香出眾,複雜,有陳年感,有規模感,亦有一定深度。餘韻既複雜且長,酒體口中有結構。這些都反映了這是一枝好好的酒,可是在口中的酒味在中段空洞了點,其複雜性在吞嚥後才反映出來,否則這是一枝非常出色的酒。

The Balvenie 25 year Triple Cask Single Malt Whisky

This whisky has medium intensity mahogany colour. Quite pronounced noses of orange marmalade, raisin, vanilla, apricot, honey and touch of peat, very clean and pure. With water, floral and honey notes are enhanced. Off-dry with medium acidity and integrated alcohol. Medium bodied with fairly high intensity flavours of citrus peel, grain, grassy, orange, and touch of smoke and sherry. Quite long length with citrus peel finish. (93) Should have better length.

好似好矛盾,但其實不是。這酒的酒香複雜得來很正氣,好正路的麥芽威士忌似的。但又散出複雜性及陳年規模。酒在口中的複雜性有一點轉變,頗吸引,可是餘韻雖算不錯,但應該更長,扣了點分,好飲的。

2006 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts, Domaine Philippe Pacalet

This is a dry medium bodied white wine with medium lemon green colour and medium alcohol. On nose it gives over medium intensity aromas of lemon, white flower, vanilla, ripe pear and touch of almond. Medium refreshing acidity and over medium flavours of lemon, floral, oak, and touch of mineral. Longer than medium length with citrus and honey finish. (90) Good fruit but lack of complexity, bit flat.

中等的複雜性,但有一定濃厚的酒香,餘韻也算不錯。酒的口感略嫌不夠鮮活,有點缺乏生氣的感覺。整體也算可以的。

Medium lemon green colour with long and persistent bubbles. It has quite pronounced aromas of red apple, melon, honey and touch of toast and bread. Dry with medium zesty acidity, medium bodied and alcohol with creamy mousse. Medium intensity flavours of apple, lemon, honeydew, mineral and touch of toast. Medium length with honey and lemon finish. (89)

很果,很熟的生果感而令到有點重口感,甚至有點子甜的感覺,但這是特乾的。餘韻尚可,複雜性一般但香氣不錯。是一款飲得舒服輕鬆的香檳。

Martell Creation Cognac XO

Medium mahogany with pronounced nose of raisin, prune, jasmine, caramel, toffee, vanilla, citrus peel and honey. Water enhances floral notes and spiciness, note of lemon is detected too. It is off dry with medium acidity and integrated and smooth alcohol. Round and smooth mouthfeel with fairly full bodied. On palate it gives close to pronounced flavours of prune, vanilla, toffee, licorice and citrus peel. Long length with honey and orange candy finish. (95)

這酒令我想起二三十年前的舊XO,充滿著濃郁複雜的香氣及酒味,餘韻悠長,口感豐厚圓滑,飯後飲的話,酒本身已是一份甜品,好好味。再加強一些複雜性會成為一枝傳世佳釀。

Glen Grant 1963 Single Malt Whisky

This old single malt whisky possesses fairly deep intensity copper colour with touch of mahogany tone, heavy legs. It has pronounced aromas of maltose, raisin, caramel, prune, vanilla, sherry and sweet spice. Water enhances its vanilla and spice notes. Medium acidity and well-integrated alcohol. Full bodied with touch of tannin. On palate it gives fairly high flavours of caramel, smoke, raisin, apricot and touch of peat and dark chocolate. Close to long length with maltose finish. (94)

好味的一枝威士忌,雪利酒桶的特色出眾。酒香複雜強烈,酒精溶和而不辣。酒味在口中堅持著它的力度及複雜性,餘韻長而吸引,如果再長一點就更加完美。另一方面,如果酒的發展多一點陳年感會更加好。但這已是一枝十分難得的好酒。
